Misty Sano has been teaching and coaching for over 25 years, both at the high school and collegiate levels. While competitive, Misty seeks to instill qualities in her athletes that will serve them throughout their lives. The players and teams at Oceans Elite are a strong reflection of Misty’s coaching, as well as her devotion to Jesus Christ. Her inspiration for coaching is her love of the game. This has grown through watching her husband coach and learning from him.
The joy Misty sees in her players as they practice and play, as well as the interaction she has with them on and off the court, inspires her to continue coaching knowing that they too love the game of volleyball. All of her players are wonderful, beautiful young women, inside and out and Misty enjoys every moment she spends with them.
Misty is married to Marlon and has two children, Markus and Madison.
