When travelling to tournaments, some families leave from the Central Coast very early in the morning to arrive at the tournament site by 7:15 AM. Others travel to the area of the tournament the night before and stay overnight with relatives or get a hotel room.

If you choose to stay in a hotel the night prior to a tournament, our experience has been that the best hotel prices can be obtained by using a service like Priceline and their "Name Your Own Price" feature. The link below is provided for your convenience.

Oceans Elite 2012 Season

Welcome to our New Season!  Practices have gone well so far, and the SCVA tournaments are upon us.  Check our calendar for tournament sites, times, and directions.

May 19 & 20 (Saturday & Sunday) - 14's Regionals.  Remeber this is a 2 day event.  How we finish in our pool on Saturday will determine where we play on Sunday.  See calendar for details.

May 16 & 17 (Wednesday & Thursday) - Practice change.  We cannot get into Lakeview or Orcutt, but we were able to get Fesler for ALL teams on Wednesday from 7-9pm.

May 13 (Sunday) - Mother's Day.  No practice for anyone.

May 12 (Saturday) - 16's Mandatory.  See calendar for details.

May 6 (Sunday) - The 18's played great all day, breezing through their pool, 6-0 in sets, 3-0 in matches.

May 5 (Saturday) - The 14's struggled in their first match, but recovered and played well in their next 2 matches to go 2-1 on the day.

New Practice Days & Sites - The 18's & 16's will continue to practice on Wednesday, but at Lakeview Jr High.  The 14's will change days and practice on Thursdays, still at Orcutt Jr High.  All practices will be from 7-9pm.  See calendar for details.

April 28 (Saturday) - The 14's went undefeated in match play 3-0, while only dropping 1 set along the way (6-1)!

April 22 (Sunday) - No Practice for any teams.

April 22 (Sunday) - 18's Mandatory tournament.  See calendar for details.  There is now a free parking lot @ ASC located next to the rooftop entrance.

April 21 (Saturday) - 16's Mandatory tournament,  See calendar for details.

April 14 (Saturday) - The 14's went undefeated in both sets (6-0) and matches (3-0) to finish 1st in their pool!

April 7 (Saturday) - The 16's lost 3 tough matches, all in 3. 

Spring Break Practices - We have a number of different schools and districts represented and we have a number of different Spring Breaks to coordinate.  Please check the calendar to make sure on the practices over the next few weeks.

March 24 (Saturday) - The 16's played some tough matches going 1-2 in pool play and finished 2nd.

March 11 (Sunday) - The 18's played hard and went 1-2 in pool and finished 3rd.

March 4 (Sunday) - The team lost some close matches and finished 0-3 on the day, but they continue to learn and grow.

March 3 (Saturday) - The team had a slow start, but finished strong going 2-1 for the day.

March 3 (Saturday) - The 16's played hard, but had a tough day losing 2 close 3 set matches.  They finished 1-2 on the day. Thanks to Tenaya for the picture of both the 16's & 14's.

February 25 (Saturday) - 16's 3rd Qualifier.  See Calendar for details.

February 11 (Saturday) - The 18's played hard, but were also missing some team members and ended up 0-3 for the day.

February 4 (Saturday) - The 14's played well and went undefeated finishing 3-0 on the day to finish 1st in their pool.

February 4 (Sunday) - The 16's played some tough matches on Sunday and finished 2-1 on the day.

January 29 - Our 18's worked hard and went 3-0 in match play to take first in their pool, after being seeded third initially.

January 21 - Our 14's are not able to compete in the 2nd Qualifier.

January 22 - Our 16's played well and went undefeated in match play, dropping only 1 set all day.

January 7 & 8 - Our 18's & 14's played in their 1st SCVA Qualifiers of the year and both teams finished 2-1 good for second in their respective pools.  Both teams played hard, and made great progress throughout the day.
